This Anambra state born singer (stage name Xplode da Great) is another
act to watch out for with his silky smooth voice (his instrument) and
his lyrical prowess. He was born Nwokoye Henry Chukwunonso in the mid
eighties to the family of Mr. Godfrey Nwokoye as the first of four
children.
After successfully completing his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science
went further to undergo training in Database Administration and to
also acquire some international IT certifications (OCA and OCP) from
Oracle Corporation, USA. Furthermore, he acquired a Post Graduate
Diploma in Education (PGDE) and also completed a Masters Degree in
Information technology in the National Open University of Nigeria.
As an Assistant Superintendent of Prisons (ASP), he currently is
designated as the Aftercare/Open Studies Officer In-charge of Inmate
and Staff education.
Definitely his educational pursuits and vast interests never prevented
him from compiling songs and adding to his musicianship skills. Not
leaving anything to chance with his decisions to embrace music (his
first love) once again. He teams up with Terry tha Rapman (a renowned
Nigerian rapper) in his new single Ashebi which was produced by Bstone
(Shakagbum). It is a dancehall love song with lots of melody. Here, he
doles out the lyrics (..ashebi…ashebi…ashebi..) with his silky smooth
voice that promises nothing but wellness and sweetness and keeps
listeners dancing and smiling.
Ofcourse this hit has been judged sizziling, hot and creative and
would only endear Nigerians to him, his music and his style.
