Speaking Good English Doesn’t Put Food On My Table – Peter Okoye

If he wasn’t successful, I’d say that was a rant from a frustrated mind but coming from of Psquare, I’d say, carry on brother, so true! Many at times we forget that not everyone is cut-out for school or ‘Queen’s English’ and we go ahead to tag them names such as, ‘drop outs’, ‘illiterates’, etc

Looking at the likes of Tuface, Dbanj, Psquare, Wande Coal, Timaya, Wiz Kid and so on who at one point in time or the other of their lives had to cut short their education dreams to pursue their music careers, we can call them all sorts of names or laugh when they speak but we cannot deny the fact that they are today more successful and well known than their peers who are ‘educated’ and speak impeccable English. That is not to say education is a bad idea- not knowing your passion or what you are good at, is the bad idea.
