One of Prophet Makandiwa’s closest allies, Prophet Uebert Angel, has torn into popular Nigerian prophet TB Joshua, stopping short of calling him an agent of the devil.
With Makandiwa on his side, Angel, a charismatic preacher who claims massive WEALTH, delivered a sermon that was scathing TB Joshua, whom he said could do well to receive help from local pastors to remove alleged satanic tendencies.
Moments after Prophet Angel’s sermon, Makandiwa, one of the country’s most popular Christian preachers, rose to ask the congregation to DONATE generously to his friend at a church ceremony in Harare on Sunday. In a sign of how TB Joshua’s increasing interest in Zimbabwe could be rattling local outfits whose support base could come under threat should the Nigerian form of local chapter of his Synagogue Church of All Nations, Angel urged his congregation to look up to local pastors such as himself for guidance.
“I have received a lot of calls recently, the people were asking my position on TB Joshua’s visit but I did not comment on that. I want my children (flock) to know that they have their father (himself) here hence they have NOTHING to do with this,” said Prophet Angel.
On allegations that Nigerian prophet could be a satanist, Prophet Angel said the puzzle would be solved the moment TB Joshua stepped into Zimbabwe. He, however, said TB Joshua’s ‘healing’ powers could also come handy if they were GENUINE.
“Some of you say he is a satanist. If he is, let him come so we can remove his demons. If he is not (satanic) then it will be good again for us if he heals one or two of my children because he would have helped on my work,” said Angel, who formed the Spirit Embassy with Makandiwa’s help.
Angel’s comments come a few days after the hype on TB Joshua’s planned visit to Zimbabwe fell flat after his no-show at a peace prayer that turned into a flop. TB Joshua’s planned visit also shook Zanu PF officials who were unnerved by his closeness to Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s MDC party that they publicly campaigned for the Immigration department not to entertain him.
Angel appeared to support the stance. “There are laws that govern each country and if authorities say he cannot come then what can we say? We need to respect the powers that govern us because the bible says we should respect our authorities,” said Angel.
The “MAJOR” as he is affectionately called by his followers, relocated to Zimbabwe in March last year after spending more than a decade in the United Kingdom. prophet Angel expressed gratitude to Prophet Makandiwa for exposing him to the Zimbabwean Christian community through the United Family International Church, which acted as his springboard.
“Having one prophet in the house is enough and having two is something else. I want to acknowledge the presence of Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, a man who supported me when I was starting this church by exposing my gift through his church,” he said.
Angel handed over the podium to Makandiwa who took the opportunity to ‘remind’ the congregation on their mandate to plough back into the ministry by taking care of his friend’s UPKEEP. makandiwa commended Spirit Embassy followers for being supportive of Angel’s welfare, saying their donations in the past have been impressive.
