NYSC member gives birth on first day of orientation


A of the National Youth Service Corp () has delivered a bouncing baby girl camp in Katsina State.  Coordinator in the state, Mr. Ebenezer Afolalu, who disclosed this yesterday at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2012 Batch ‘B’ corps members said, “The lady delivered a baby girl on the of registration at our clinic. We thank God that both mother and the baby are in good condition,” he said.

Mr. Afolalu said a total of 2, 144 corps members were posted to the state.

The state governor, Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema, represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Mannir Ibrahim Talba, assured the corps members of their safety.

He said the government will use corps members posted to agricultural establishment to harness the agricultural potentials of the state.

“Katsina State government has embarked on agricultural revolution, and it is aimed at ensuring poverty reduction, food security and job creation among youths,” he said.
