Mother of the governor of Oyo State, Alhaja Sikirat Abeje Ajimobi is dead. The deceased who passed to the other world today had been ill for sometime now before death eventually came calling. She was aged 85.
In a release issued by Gov. Ajimobi’s Media Adviser, Festus Adedayo, the governor’s mother was a prominent trader , devout Muslim and community leader.
Alhaja Ajimobi was survived by nine children, among whom is the governor of Oyo State, Sen Ajimobi.
Madam Ajimobi would be buried in Ibadan tomorrorow (Thursday) at 2p.m. On July 19, 2012 at her husband’s house at Johnson Awe Street, Apata, Ibadan. We shall keep you posted as event unfold.
