, who played the role of John Dumelo’s father in the movie ‘Baby Thief’, been dragged to court for reportedly using a red-hot iron on the body of a 19-year-old and also using a razor-sharp cutlass to cut several times.

Simon Ebo Banson and his wife, Josephine Hodo, reportedly connived to assault the poor 19-year-old teenager, their house help.

They lived with the girl at their Dansoman residence in Accra and at a point accused her of teaming up with some thieves to rob them of their valuables.

Though the girl denied the allegation, Ebo Banson and his wife reported her to the Dansoman Police, where she was detained.

After her release, Ebo Banson and his wife were not satisfied so they locked her up in the toilet for days and assaulted her severely.

Banson, on 29th October, was reported to have dragged the girl from the toilet to his master bedroom, where he locked the door and used a board to hit her left leg till it got broken.

Not satisfied with the broken leg, Ebo Banson reportedly grabbed a razor-sharp machete and inflicted several cuts on the girl who was begging him and struggling for her life.

When Akwasi Asiedu was finally released by Ebo Banson, he dashed to the police station to report the molestation and a team of policemen was dispatched to go with him to rescue the victim and get Ebo Banson .

At the last court sitting, Ebo Banson and his wife, Josephine, were granted a GH¢20,000 and GH¢10,000 bail with one surety respectively.

They will reappear in court on December 7, 2011.

This Ebo Banson, should not be allowed to show his ugly face in movies because he is not a good role model to the people. His inhumanity act is unacceptable even if the young girl truely stole from him.
He may use his influence on the courts, but the movie industries (Ghana and Nigeria), which I believe encourage us to have and give love should be ashamed to show him in movies. I can't imagine watching any movie he (Ebo Banson) roles in again.
If he is allowed to keep acting in movies then it means that justice is far away from our nations but prevailing evils.

Since this incident, many Ghanaians have discussed this Ebo Banson man and also some of his sibblings. It is filthy. Like one reads in Agatha Christie, all of them have a motive at one time or the other. You would hate to hear their stories – from drugs to hardened criminal tendencies, wickedness and the like. One simply needs to run from them, especially in this latest event, from this so-called actor.
I pray that trueJUSTICE will come into play here. God save Ghana.
