Ghana winger Abeiku Quansah was rushed to hospital on Thursday night after sustaining a horrendous injury during Arsenal Kiev’s 2-0 win at Kryvbas on the final game of the Ukrainian Premier League.
The 21-year-old needed an emergency treatment after breaking his cervical vertebrae following a crash with an opposition player in the 49th minute.
The former Ghana U20 player was rushed to a Kryvyi Rih hospital for emergency treatment and initial information revealed he has broken his cervical vertebrae.
The extent of the damage is expected to be known on Friday as he will be taken to the capital Kiev for further assessment.
