From what we are getting, the battle between two singers, Jude Abaga, who is well known as MI, and Kelechukwu Obinna Orji, popularly called Kelly Handsome, may now be a thing of the past.
At the wrap of 2011, in December, Kelly Handsome was involved in an auto accident, where his wonders on the wheel got badly damaged. As a show of concern, the short black boy from J Town, as he calls himself, sent a get well soon message to his one time rival.
on January 18, the Imo State born Maga Don Pay crooner celebrated his birthday. As a show of reconciliation from their musical disses and face-offs, the Chocolate City artiste sent a birthday message to Kelly Handsome.
As we learnt, Kelly was never expecting to get such gesture from MI, who he once had a bitter time with. In response to MI’s show of friendship, the belated Kelly replied, “Special thanks to MI, let brotherly love continue.”
Kelly Handsome and MI were before now, were involved in doing diss tracks to ‘yab’, as it is called in the local parlance to mean ‘vocally abuse’, themselves. In one of MI’s response to Kelly Handsome’s earlier diss, MI advised Kelly to go hug transformer, which has now become a popular slang in Nigeria.
It’s good for entertainment! When artistes fight, they do so to attract public attention. Whatever the bone of contention is will also be recorded in their albums to rake in more money! MI & KELLY HANSOME should watch it ‘cos more are yet to come to the audience!
